What did we learn ...

From the Philips Hue App ...

  1. Select the Philips Hue app from your device.
  2. Select an already existing Room
  3. The screen displayed has two tabs, Lights & Scenes
  4. you can either select an exiting scene or press the Plus button to add a new scene
  5. This gives you a submenu of
    1. Current light settings
    2. Picture Scene
  6. selecting "Current light settings" displays a New Scene screen with the keyboard ready to name it.

Trying to get the screenshots, here's what's happened.

  1. I selected the Phillips Hue app from my device
  2. I selected an already existing room named "Living Room", hence, the first screenshot
  3. The screen displayed has two tabs, "Lights" and "Scenes", "Lights" had the focus, hence, the second screenshot
  4. Upon pressing the "Scenes" tab, displayed are three already existing Scenes, and the Plus button, hence, the third screenshot
  5. pressing the Plus sign gives you a submenu of (I was not able to capture the screen with the submenu)
    1. Current light settings
    2. Picture Scene
  6. selecting "Current light settings" displays a New Scene screen with the keyboard ready to name it. (I was not able to capture the screen with the keyboard)
  7. So I typed "Scene One" into the "New scene" dialog box and then tapped "Save", hence, the fourth screenshot
  8. Tapping Scene One only allows me to adjust the brightness, hence, the fifth screenshot displaying brightness near zero percent
  9. I adjusted the percent to 75 and saved it, thus the next screenshot
